2nd May 2011. Cairo, Egypt. Media Republic, the mass media and marketing specialists, announced today that Cairo360.com, their multi-award-winning online guide to Cairo, Egypt, will begin publishing Arabic content aimed at Arabic speaking internet audiences looking to discover more about the city of Cairo. Since launching in March 2010, Cairo360.com has grown to become the leading English language guide to living in Cairo with hundreds of thousands of users visiting the site regularly to find the best of what Cairo has to offer.
Arabic content on the site closely mirrors the English content, and consists mostly of reviews covering the capital’s top restaurants and cafés, lively nightlife and shopping options, as well as the best in Cairo’s diverse arts and culture scene, and an endless roster of events. Critically, the entertainment section on the Arabic version of the site will also include reviews and features on the latest Arab musicians and film stars, and other localised content that is expected to be massively popular.
“Arabic content on Cairo360.com has been long overdue. It’s been top of the list from most of our users’ feedback and I’m delighted to finally start publishing articles in Arabic on Cairo360.com,” said Waseem El Tanahi, publisher of Cairo360.com. “We’ve had a year to develop our offering for English internet audiences in Egypt, and are very excited at the prospect of opening up the site to a much broader audience that uses Arabic as a primary language on the web,” he added.
In addition to reviews and features on eateries, shopping, arts and culture, music and film, the site also carries thousands of listings of Cairo’s top venues. The beta is live now, and can be visited at www.cairo360.com/arabic.
